Clay Creations in the Making!

Check out these snapshots from Mary C. teaching partner and local creative Christian Bailey’s ceramics classes—Pinch Pot Bunnies and Pinch Pot Planters! Students explored the pinch pot technique, one of the oldest and most versatile hand-building methods in ceramics.

Starting with a simple ball of clay, they pressed their thumbs into the center, then gently pinched and rotated the clay to form the walls of their pots. With a little creativity, the basic shape was transformed into adorable bunnies and charming planters! Stay tuned for the finished pieces!
