Local Creatives Gallery
The Local Creatives were formed in 2017 by current Mary C. Arts and Culture Coordinator Sarah Qarqish, founder of HannaBerry Studio, in order to connect with other creative entrepreneurs. Moving from Jackson, MS to the coast was isolating for Sarah Q. and she wanted to connect with the local community.
The Local Creatives are a group of creative entrepreneurs who are working artists selling and showing their work. There are currently 30 members. The Local Creatives Gallery was formed in 2018, curated quarterly by Sarah Q. This gallery presents opportunities to sell and showcase your work within the Mary C.
-
To exhibit in the Local Creatives Gallery you must become a Local Creative. First you will complete an application. Next you will have a meeting with Sarah Qarqish to determine your candidacy. Last comes an artist waiver of liability.
-
No. You do not personally need to partner with the Mary C. in order to join the Local Creatives. This is because the Local Creatives Gallery itself is a partner with the Mary C.
